16 Reasons why Amazon owes you Money

November 10, 2017 by Nathan Holmquist 8 Comments

If you are an FBA seller, Amazon probably owes you money in unclaimed refunds and reimbursements.

Here are 16 reasons why Amazon owes you money:

Amazon…

  • Lost inventory at the warehouse, and it has been 30 days
  • Damaged inventory at the warehouse, and it has been 30 days
  • Claims to have reimbursed a return but it has not been reimbursed
  • Improperly received or miscounted items from inbound shipments in past 9 months
  • Claims to have placed an item back into your inventory but it has not been replaced
  • Issued a refund, but customer never returned item and it has been 45 days
  • Accepted a return after 45 days but you weren't reimbursed for the 20% restocking fee
  • Reimbursed you for less quantity than you were supposed to get reimbursed for
  • Reimbursement is too small compared to value of item
  • Issued a chargeback but didn't reimburse you
  • Issued a partial refund but you were not reimbursed
  • Approved refund past the normal approval window per their policy
  • Destroyed item without your request or permission
  • Refunded the customer more than they paid for originally
  • Or carrier damaged a customer return
  • Or carrier damaged inbound shipments in transit, and it has been at least 30 days

Amazon is getting harder and harder to work with. FBA went from something I loved to a big ripoff I hate. They are reimbursing me a dollar or two for rare $50-100 books. It’s criminal! I don’t know how they are getting away with it. I am looking for new venues to sell on, not Amazon

Hi Judy, Which part are you confused with? Getting your Amazon credentials or generating the report?

Please choose a range 180 days or less to generate this report. If you require a larger range, please generate a subsequent report within the next 180 day period.

Make sure you choose transaction instead of summary for report type.

I have done this report 2 years ago and got back $192. I just did 3 reports for the last 1 1/2 years and was told Amazon owes me about $200. We will see how much I get reimbursed but this service is well worth the 8% fee
