My advice for new Amazon FBA sellers…
- Turn off notifications from all your Amazon related Facebook groups
- Don’t buy any equipment
- Don’t pay for any listing or scouting programs
Simply find a book or CD that you already own. List it on Amazon. Don’t sign up for FBA yet. If it sells – ship it directly to the customer.
This should get you so excited that you’ll want to repeat this. Find 10 more items to sell in your house.
Now you should be so excited that you’re willing to find a way to make this work.

I absolutely agree! Working on an rebook right now that begins with that premise!

Hi Costa,
Thanks for your comment. Yeah, I think it’s important to make that first sale. Everything becomes much easier after that because you made that first real dollar. Facebook groups can help a lot, but I think it can be distracting. It’s important to stick with what works for you, and not worry so much with what other people are doing. Good luck with your eBook!

You Sir, have renewed my faith in online sellers in general. This simple, honest post speaks volumes about your integrity in a marketplace full of wolves out to gobble up the little guy at any cost. Thank you.

Hi Sherry,
Thank you for that very nice comment.

Thanks you! I am so confused right now, but this makes so much sense. I’ve been collecting books for my first FBA shipment, but I’m going to just sell them myself. Finally – a real way forward!
