FBA Inventory Reimbursements are difficult to find. If you sell on Amazon with FBA, you are owed money for destroyed, lost, and others due to Amazon errors.
AMZRefund is an Amazon seller tool designed for this problem.
Here's how it works:
1. Sign up and give your Amazon credentials
2. Generate a report
3. The report will tell you which items are missing and how much you are owed
4. You then contact Amazon support and give them this information
5. Amazon will then start reimbursing you money
Everything is within Amazon rules as well. You contact Amazon support when you want. There are no software programs or outsourced individuals who contact Amazon on your behalf. You have complete control.
I’ve use it twice, and so far I’ve got over $900 back. See screenshot.
AMZrefund charges 8% upfront fee of your estimated reimbursements.

Can’t you just generate a report from Seller Central, or go into Inventory and look for all your Stranded or Unfulfillable inventory?
In other words, what’s it finding? How do regular sellers know if they have missing inventory?
Nathan Holmquist says
I’m not sure how to manually do this. I know that Ryan Grant wrote an eBook on how to do this.

Thanks Nathan! I’ve been wanting to do this myself but it can consume some time that I would rather use sourcing and sending.

Can confirm this is legit. Thanks nathan as usual for the excellent advice/tip/resource!
Nathan Holmquist says
Well, I have used it twice. My Dad has used it. And I know a few other people who use it. So, in my experience, it’s legit.

Did this last night and got a $400 refund from Amazon overnight. I don’t mind paying the 8% fee for money I wasn’t going to go digging for. Very much appreciate the post!
Nathan Holmquist says
Awesome! That’s great to hear.

I’m seriously thinking about doing this. Amazon has given me 6 reimbursements since Friday that I wasn’t expecting. And I started wondering if they can lose/damaged this much and tell me about it…what couls I be missing.

Interesting, thanks for sharing your experience … I am still an Independent Seller
sooooo it doesn’t apply to me yet it maybe a program that someone could use.
May tomorrow be you best selling day ever.
Brian says
The best part of this is how Amazon calculates your refund. This is better than actually selling your inventory. You should be hoping Amazon loses your stuff. They reimburse you at your listed selling price with no fees taken out!

I tried it…did not receive any info back from them…I know Amazon must owe me money, what”s up?
Nathan Holmquist says
You’re supposed to get some information to copy and paste into Amazon support. I would contact them and see what’s up. [email protected]
Judy Casey says
OK, I’ll try that…Thanks Nathan!

Hi Nathan, I have faced a reality of doing business with FBA by selling clothe. I have bought some 700 books and now afraid to list them. So what happened. I have sold a dress for $140 using FBA. Amazon paid me around $117 into my account. Then client returned that dress (I still cant find the reason it was returned btw) and Amazon charged me $124 in order to refund customer. So from what I understood is that the difference is the FBA fees that will be charged every time item is sold. So if that dress gets sold again, ill be $7 more into it. What I am afraid with books is that mark up on them sometimes doesn’t go over 3$ and FBA fees are around the same or more. Basically one return puts book seller in a drain. What is your take on that?
Thanx

Eugene:
If your books are good quality (not falling apart), you should expect a 1-3% refund rate. Most customers will be satisfied and keep their purchases.
Refunds are just another expense like shipping, boxes or books that is part of the business. I like to see dozens of refunds because it means we are selling thousands of books.
Dont’ try to understand why customers refund good merchandise. A certain group of people are dishonest and want free things all the time. Many women buy clothing with the intention of getting a refund because they could not afford it from the beginning.
Hope that helps.

Thanks Nathan. I just followed your link and set up an AMZRefund account.
I was owed $75 and my report only cost me $6.60. Not bad. I opened 2 cases, received responses very quickly and now will watch to see when the reimbursements show up on my payment page in Amazon Seller Central! Thanks! for the info!

Thanks Nathan. Okay I did this in Seller Central and it says scheduled for 3/13/17. So I’m assuming this will take a couple of days? Appreciate any feedback.
Nathan Holmquist says
No, you have to use the exact dates that AMZrefund says. so if you did it today, it would be From: 09/11/2015
To: 03/09/2017
Joe says
Thanks Nathan. Appreciate the clarification.

Is this designed for people who don’t keep track of refunds owed, or is this designed to get a bigger refund? I recently got a $1.44 refund for a book and Amazon wouldn’t re-evaluate the amount without an invoice. ::sigh::
