Diversify your Income

May 29, 2013 by Nathan Holmquist 3 Comments

While Amazon FBA is a great business model, it’s always good to have multiple income streams coming in.  If one stream dries up, you can always work on the others.

So, why not build other income streams?

One of my favorite streams falls in the realm of:

1) Building an email list
2) Promoting FBA related products
3) Blogging

One of my mentors, Pat Flynn, has an unbelievably great blog and podcast.  He always posts his affiliate earnings at the end of the month.  So, I’m going to try to do the same.

Here is my affiliate earnings report for the month of May.

Revenue for May

  • Thrifting for Profits: $47.26
  • Jordan Malik's Products: $18.00
  • Book Sales Found: $49.30
  • Creative Book Sourcing: $60.00
  • FBAFinds: $42.75
  • Basic eSales Spreadsheet: $14.26
  • Lulu: $17.67
  • Retail Flipping: $235.29
  • How to Source Used Books: $10.94
  • FBA Recipe for Success: $33.90
  • Amazon Associates: $28.16

Total Revenue                           $529.37

Expenses for May

  • Aweber: ($149.00)
  • Homestead: ($20.99)
  • Godaddy Hosting for WordPress Blog: ($8.99)
  • Godaddy Hosting for WordPress Blog: ($8.99)
  • Automatic for WordPress: ($5.00)

Total Expenses                                           ($192.97)

Total Profit                                                  $336.40

Why are you paying $150/month for aweber? I thought it was only $19/month

$19 is the base pay. Then they charge based on the number of subscribers on your list.
