Bought an item (two of them) for $45. Only one seller (non FBA) at $75 on FBAScout. Rank: top 100 in Kitchen. I bought to sell as FBA for a premium based on rank.
When I listed, I priced at $99.95.
Checked later, 7-8 sellers including Target selling in the $40-$50 range. I kept my price where it was. Everyone else sold out (can you say pricing your items too low???). Mine both sold for $99.95.
Holding price over cutting margins is a powerful strategy. FBA sellers can do this more successfully because they have a pool of buyers who are willing to pay more for their listings.”
