The only TV show that I watch is Shark Tank. For those of you that don’t know, it is a show where entrepreneurs pitch their idea to investors (sharks) in the hopes of getting a partner (or two) and raising capital for their business.
I love this show because it doesn’t seem forced at all. It appears that all the negotiations are authentic. It also inspires to me to become a better entrepreneur. It’s fun to watch people pitch their ideas because they are so obviously passionate about what they do.
Anyway, I was watching an episode that featured a filter in a water bottle. It’s such a good idea that I bought a couple myself. Here’s a video on the water bottle: It’s called Gobie Water.
After the show aired, their website quickly sold out and soon it was impossible to get one anywhere on the internet: including Amazon and eBay.
So, I listed one of mine on Amazon FBA for $59. It got the “buy box” and it sold pretty quickly. I bought it for $21.
Here’s the Amazon listing:

So, why not play a shark yourself? Invest in some Shark Tank products and sell it on Amazon.
While these sharks and entrepreneurs are very good at what they do, they may not know of the awesome distribution channel that is called: AMAZON FBA.

Funny! I was thinking the very same thing in April! Seeing as they often sell out ( due to the publicity and massive orders ) it could be a nice ride for a little while. It happened to me when I ordered a bunch of Spatty;s. But thing is she went ahead and took my payment but I had to wait 2 months before I got them and it was hard to reach her. 🙁 But I did actually get mine.

Wow! What a coincidence. I just bought the Spatty and the Spatty Daddy last week on her website. I did get it within 5 days though. I’m going see if I can sell that on Amazon.

I think this is a great idea but aren’t we going to experience the same trouble getting product as everyone? Let’s face it once they become more available then everyone can get them. Are you suggesting people will go to Amazon or Ebay to purchase one instead of the vendors website?
Nathan Holmquist says
I just meant buying the product right away when the show airs – with the hopes that it will sell out. Then you can sell it on Amazon.
But yes, even if the vendor has them in stock, you could probably price quite a bit higher on Amazon FBA.

That show is so good… I love the ideas that people pitch on there… Some times I will say to myself “Wish I though of that”… But what you came up with going to there website and buying the items and then selling them on Amazon is a awesome idea… I would of never though of that, thanks for the tip… Next time am watching the show I will have a piece of paper and pen to copy websites and try to be the first to list (lol)
Thanks Nat for sharing this…
